STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT STEM & STEM CAREERS
At STEM Fests, 7th-12th grade students from low-resourced schools spend the day at Frontier RTP, the Park's innovation center for startups. Students engage in various STEM-focused sessions to THINK about real-world challenges, IMAGINE themselves in a STEM career through hands-on demonstrations, BUILD to reinforce concepts and encourage long-term STEM exploration, and MEET with STEM professionals about the pathways to a STEM career.
STEM Fests occur twice annually (fall and spring), and applications open early in the fall for teachers to request their students' participation.
